Author Rachel Pellman features in the museum she helped create in Intercourse Pa. And Marilyn Woodin, in her textile and quilt museum in Kalona, Iowa. You’ll also be introduced to many Amish people, communities, including quilt shops. You will see Beachy Amish women quilting in Berlin, Ohio and other Amish ladies display quilts at auction in Wisconsin. Nowadays, there are over 150,000 Amish in over 235 Amish Communities. The Amish can be found in 25 states and Canada. Surprisingly, most Midwestern cities are no more than 2 or 3 hours from the nearest Amish community.
